1) Studying the factors that determine the distribution of animal biodiversity at broad (biogeographical) spatial scale; 2) Improving our understanding of biological invasions, and of their impact on native species; 3) Identifying conservation strategies at the local, landscape and national scales scale. In the last years, I increasingly use Environmental DNA (eDNA) for the study of impact of human activities on present and past biodiversity.
